Convention 2013 Pals Swap

2013swap-three_(1_of_1)

The cards I made for the Pals swap at the 2013 Stampin’ Up Convention.

Some instructions:

-emboss a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of whisper white card stock with the stylish stripes embossing folder

-cover half of your brayer with midnight muse and half with primrose petals ink

-waste most of the ink you just put on your brayer on scrap paper

-brayer over the embossed card stock when only a little bit of ink is left to get the right look

-the sentiment is from sweet essentials, stamped with primrose petals on a 1/2″ piece of whisper white

-the ribbon is primrose petals stitched satin ribbon

-the braid is … kind of hard to explain.  If you’re reading this at convention, find me and I can show you.  I will try to get a video up of it in a few days, but if you can’t wait, check the internet–it’s one of the traditional ways to braid Palm Sunday palms.

-and then stick the braid on the embossed and brayer card stock with lots of tape or something, and put the whole thing on a standard whisper white card base.

Your swap card is really pretty and I was wondering how much ribbon is used for this braid.

Love your braiding. Hope you will do the video.
